A gorgeous copy of the first volume of Sire's classic three volume British Invasion series, (that actually became a four volume set with the addition of a single double LP release of "The Roots of British Rock," which I have for sale in a separate eBay listing.)
The first volume is one of the best of the three (or four, depending on how you count them.) It includes a track tracks from the Dave Clark Five, who did NOT appear on Rhino's later British Invasion collection. The line-up of songs is like a who's who of British Invasion, from Manfred Mann to Rod Stewart. Overall, this is one of the most enjoyable collections of 1960s pop and rock ever released.
This copy is a real gem. The vinyl is spotless: shiny near mint with clean, sharp Sire labels. Both records appear to be unplayed. The jacket is still in the original shrinkwrap and appears to be very close to mint, with no ring wear, or cut-out marks. Also included are the original inner sleeves, which feature scrapbook ads, articles and other trivia from the era covered by the album. You're not likely to find a better copy of this album, so don't let this one slip past you!
