Description
This is another sale from a my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
UK pressing HMV ASD 1479, Sibelius Violin Concerto in D Minor Op. 47 performed by Ginette Neveu with Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Walter Susskind and Suk Four Pieces, Op. 17 performed by Ginette Neveu with piano accompaniment by Jan Neveu . Gold and Red label and sleeve is a scalloped flip back, laminated front and back, spine is pinched top and bottom. The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are XAX 460-1N and XAX 461-1N. XT tax code is stamped on side 2.
Grading
Grade vinyl as VG. Visually it looks better, some faint marks and hairline on both sides, but there is a scratch on side 2 that is audible. It plays with no skips or jumps however there is a fair bit of crackle on both sides, less so on side 2. There are pops on side 2 track 2 that last for 1 min 45 secs. The sleeve is VG+, some creasing and marks and small area of wear on top edge (see photo). Inner sleeve is Excellent.
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
