Description
This movie and subsequent music offered the first release of what became the highest grossing song of all time: "White Christmas" written by Irving Berlin and sung by Bing Crosby. The master was so worn out by the time Bing released his Christmas album set "Merry Christmas" in 1945, that he has to re-record it. The version everyone hears today is the latter version from 1945. This set includes the very first recording of "White Christmas". "Silent Night" was also re-recorded for the "Merry Christmas" album, which is much more common than this album.

The album cover has spine wear at the top that has been reinforced with one strip of tape. Album edges are worn and corners are bumped. However, all six discs themselves are in Near Mint condition without scuffs and scratches. I rarely use this grade, as it's difficult to find shellac discs in this condition--It's obvious, they were rarely played.
