Description
Recorded at Van Gelder Studio, Hackensack, NJ in 1956, this is an original mono “767 Lexington Ave, NYC” Blue Note 1518 “Horace Silver & The Jazz Messengers” first pressing.
What is extraordinary about this album is one label side is miss-printed. Original Side-1 label has the correct “767 Lexington Ave, NYC” address. The cuts on the record sides are correct but the Side-2 label is a duplicate of Side-1 with a “47 West 63rd Street New York 23” address. I have owned most of the Blue Note catalog but have never seen this condition. Photos show actual item details and condition.
