About Torpedo Records (look at myspace for discography)
Torpdo Records was one of the UK producers reggae labels in the late 60s, early 70s. It was set up by The Equals bassist Eddie Grant and UK producer and sound system operator Lambert Briscoe during 1970. It is best remembered these days for its Hot Rod All stars Sides and one or two others. Larry Lawrence twiddled the knobs on a few tracks, notably Errol English`s cover of the Small Faces Sha La LaLa Lee. The B-side of this was entitled A.G.G.R.O. by teh Bovver Boysand dispite the skinhead-flavoured title.
The label folded the same years it started, but Grant revived it again in 74-75
