Description

This is a second pressing - deep-groove, RVG-etched, “P”- of Hank Mobley “Quintet” on the West 63rd Street (no NY23, no “INC”) labels of Blue Note BLP 1550. The beaded playing surface has four light tics on Side 1, Track 1; Side 2 has five inaudible superficial handling marks and plays as new. The laminated West 63rd St. cover shows moderate shelf wear on the back slick; seam wear has been professionally repaired and restored to a remarkable degree, as follows: top seam, 3 ¼” from the spine; spine, 4” from the top and 1 ½” at the bottom; bottom seam, ½” at the spine and 1” at the opening.
