Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music - Volume One: Ballads
This is an original issue of the first volume of Harry Smith's seminal anthology released on Folkways records (FP 251). The later pressings had a photo cover. I will assume that if you are looking at this, you are familiar with the contents of the anthology so I will just comment on the condition.
The box is in very nice shape with some minor wear on the seam-side (as you can see in the pics). A few inches of the top right corner of the box is split apart (see pic) - other than that all seams and joints are tight. The 2 LPs are near perfect - they range from NM to about NM- in the goldmine rating. The booklet is in similar, near perfect shape. Also included is the original postcard for ordering copies of other Folkways releases' booklets.
