Description

Randy Starr wrote 12 songs recorded by Elvis Presley, including Kissin' Cousins.  He also wrote songs recorded by The Kingston Trio, Nelson Riddle, Chet Atkins, Teresa Brewer, and many others.  Here we have a gospel flavored song called He Understands Me that doesn't seem to have been commercially recorded.  The 10" 45 rpm demo acetate is in nice VG shape and comes with the original lead sheet.  The (blank) B-side of the acetate has some paper stuck to it, as shown in photo 4.  Very much in the style of Elvis' gospel recordings, quite likely demoed for him.
