HEAD CHEESE was the first incarnation of Book Of Love. The band featured Susan Ottaviano, Jade Lee, Celeste Ries, and executive producer Ted Ottaviano! This record was released in Philadelphia when the soon to be members of Book Of Love lived and went to school there. By 1983, Ted Ottaviano joined the band, essentially replacing Celeste Ries, and the band changed their name Book Of Love, releasing the song "Henna" on the I'd Rather Be In Philadelphia compilation (Burn Potential Records). Shortly there after, Lauren Roselli joined, and the four piece lineup of Book Of Love was complete. For a Book Of Love fan, it doesn't get much rarer than this historical gem!
