Description
For sale is vinyl album by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass titled The Lonely Bull, originally released in 1962 by A&M Records which had a light tan label. This is a second pressing which used a dark tan-olive colored label with the A&M Records logo in a box to the left of the spindle hole. I bought this used and immediately cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine before putting it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. Doing this protects the vinyl and any inner sleeve or insert that may have come with the record. The original inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. In the dead was between the last tracks and the labels is etched the matrix numbers 1A/1-B, indicating that very early stampers were used to make this record. This is a hallmark of state-of-the-art engineering, sought out by collectors and music lovers for their superb sound qualities . The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of two dents along the jacket's opening, one of which have taken out a chuck of the cardboard. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint with just a few spindle marks. I'm play grading it as Near Mint with a clear sound stage and no background noise. It plays all the way through without any skips or any other defects. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this hard to find record in this condition. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
