Description
Here's Willie Nelson
Liberty Records, Los Angeles, California, 1963, LRP-3308
Condition of jacket: Good, bottom seam is split almost the entire way across, but neatly without ragged edges. Top edge is abraded but not split. Some light rubbing and ring wear.
Condition of record: Mono version. Very good, still quite clossy with only very minimal scuffing, but with some fairly mild "spotting" that I think is a result of prolonged contact with the inner, aging paper sleeve, which appears to be original.

I have had the pleasure of being an entertainer for nearly 35 years. During this time I've seen a lot of new talent appear on the music scene. But, hardly ever have ! seen the likes of Willie Nelson. Here is a young man who is not only a talented writer of songs, (he wrote the smash hits "Hello Walls," "Funny How The Time Slips Away," and"Crazy"), but is also a vocalist with a unique style. What's more — and this is probably a very natural thing — Willie's style is just right for his material.
Now, whether his songs, with their unusual lyrics and melodies, inspired him to be a singer or whether he couldn't find enough material to suit his singing style and so started to write them himself, I don't know. All I know is that he's an all-around talent who is here to stay.

All that need be added to the above is to say that this album features a dozen fine songs — some by Willie and some by other top writers. They are all just right for the Willie Nelson style.
