Description
The title of this LP is "Highlights of Vortex". It was released in 1959 on Folkways Records, Stereo FSS 6301, and comes with a fold out 6 page booklet. The booklet says "All the music for Vortex ( a dome on which can be projected all kinds of images as presented at San Francisco's Morrison Planetarium) consists in compositions arranged directly on magnetic tape by the 'engineer-composers' using either recorded natural sounds or electronically produced 'beeps' and 'groans' in varying frequencies".
