Description
- Excellent copy of the hard to find (especially in stereo) 1963 LP from The Deuce Coupes “Hotrodders' Choice” (Del Fi DFST 1243) featuring some great 1960s hot rod music with lots of car sound effects. The cover has great hot rod pictures on the front and a glossary of drag-racing terms on the back.
- The Deuce Coupes were formed by brothers Lolly Vegas and Pat Vegas, who would go on to fame in the 1970s as Redbone, and backed by a group of crack L.A. session players, including Glen Campbell, Hal Blaine, Tommy Tedesco, and Leon Russell.
- The tracklist is: Smooth Stick/Road Rattler/Tijuana Gasser/Gear Masher/Candy Apple Blue/Satan's Chariot/Hayburner/Dawn Patrol/Monkey Si/Double A Fueler/Nite Surfer/Nite Prowler.
- The LP looks and plays great with just a few surface marks and some light occasional surface noise and a light tic now and then. I’m unable to see even one spindle mark on the labels. The cover is near mint with no splits, tears, writing or cutouts.
