Description
New Zealand rock legends Maurice Greer's Human Instinct with their last LP, the classic and very rare The Hustler. (In 1975 the Instinct recorded their follow up album to The Hustler but they then decided to shelve it and it remained unreleased until 2002). This original pressing of The Hustler has had only one owner and comes with it's original release insert/lyric sheet. The line-up of The Human Instinct that produced The Hustler was, along with the Billy TK line-up from their earlier years, their strongest and consisted of ex Fourmyula guitarist Martin Hope, Ex Timberjack guitarist and vocalist John Donoghue and Glen Mickleson (aka Zaine Griff) on bass & vocals as well as the everpresent Maurice Greer on drums & vocals.
These records come from my personal collection. They have all been extremely well cared for over the years since I bought them (but they do not come from a pet or smoke free environment). Circumstances have forced my hand & I will be listing a number of my treasured records, ranging from punk to psych/prog to soul to folk to blues and everything inbetween, over the coming days & weeks, including some rarities. If you like this record, there is a good chance that others I am selling may tickle your fancy, so please feel free to have a look. It may have been some time since some of these records have been played so they may be in need of a thorough clean before playing. I hope they find their way into the hands of people who will love them as much as I have over the years. Thanks for looking & good luck should you decide to bid.

I use the UK Record Collector grading system and I grade conservatively. I will only use a mint grading for a record I know to have been unplayed. (M) Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. (EX) Excellent: The record shows slight signs of having been played but there is no lessening in sound quality and the cover and packaging are as new. (VG) Very Good: The record has obviously been played quite a few times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. A slight amount of wear and tear on the cover and extra items is acceptable. (G) Good: The record still produces a reasonable, playable sound but has obviously been played a lot. Although showing wear and tear, neither the record or cover/extra items display major defects. (F) Fair: Sound quality has deteriorated markedly. The cover/extra items display folding, scuffing, marks etc.
Please note that this record has been graded visually only.
Any glare in the photos is from my lack of photographic skills only.
Records are posted weekly and I try to post within two working days of payment arriving. Records are packaged extremely carefully (I am after all a record collector myself) using both cardboard and bubblewrap. I guarantee the condition of the records and their covers/inserts etc are accurately described and that any photos used are of the actual record/cover/insert for sale. I cannot however guarantee the safety of your purchase once it is in the hands of the postal services. For this reason I recommend registered post (which carries up to $100 postal insurance) - contact me for a quote for registered post to your location. Buyers from Italy, Russia, & Central and South America must pay for registered post. This is due to records we have posted to these destinations in the past never arriving.
Postage: Australia: $8.70 for the first LP or $11.50 by registered post and $2.00 for each additional LP. New Zealand: $12.50 - 1 LP, $15.50 - 2 LPs, $18.00 3 LPs. Asia & Pacific: $14.50 - 1 LP, $18.00 - 2 LPs, $23.00 - 3 LPs. USA & Canada: $16.50 - 1LP, $21.50 - 2 LPs, $27.50 - 3 LPs. Europe & rest of world: $19.50 - 1 LP, $26.00 - 2LPs, $34.00 - 3 LPs. Double LPs count as two & 12" & 10" singles and eps count as LPs. The American postal service has introduced a $9.00 fee for all parcels entering the U.S. weighing over 450 grams (and the record parcel does exceed that weight). This fee is to cover their increased costs in relation to improved security screening. Buyers from the U.S. please factor in this cost when deciding whether to bid.
Please understand that I live in a small country town and mail often takes a little longer to reach it's destination than that sent from a major city. Also, as I rely on money generated by these sales to cover postage costs, postage can also sometimes be delayed a little by the time it takes funds to reach my bank account from Paypal.
Please check out our other auctions if great vinyl is your passion.
If you have any queries please contact me, I will always do my very best to reply promptly.
Australian buyers may pay by Paypal, direct deposit (to speed up identification and postage please include your eBay trading name with the deposit) or money order. Overseas buyers may pay by Paypal. All payments must be in Australian dollars or an additional $10.00 (Aus) added to cover bank charges.
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me immediately. Or if you bid but need time to pay or are unable to complete the transaction, again please contact me immediately. I am a reasonable person and understand how sometimes these things can happen.
