Spell Eater is full of ripping riffs and an incredible vocal approach from Jill Janus. She rips through the higher registers, where she nails notes with a sharp, clear, piercing voice, yet can break out her choir girl voice for creepy harmonies and creepier whispers. In the lower registers she growls like a beast! Her voice is definitely the highlight of this album.
