Up for auction is IGOR Wakhevitch's LOGOS LP on EMI/Pathé.
It is the original french release from 1970, it is supposedly the rarest of Wakhevitch's recordings. This copy of this album is an overall VG on the limit of being VG+. Here's what I see upon closer inspection: COVER:VG+. Gatefold. NO split seams. LIGHT shelf wear, still has a nice luster. Ring wear not visible to naked eye, only in light and only on inside and back cover. Inside cover is still very nice, NO noticeable darkening or yellowing. A few creases here and there, nothing too obtrusive. Corners show normal wear and corners at the fold have small piece of scotch tape which I had NEVER noticed until now!! :-).
VINYL: VG. Still nice & shiny, hasn't lost any of it's original luster. Hairlines on both sides due to inner sleeve, but NO scratches. Surface noise during the quieter parts. some pops, but I believe they are due to dust or some hairlines. No skipping whatsoever and none of the surface noise is obtrusive. Still sounds great. The labels still have their original luster. NO spindle marks at all. I would have given it a VG+ if it wasn't for the occasional hiss and pops during quieter parts. It has obviously been taken VERY good care of under the 35 years of it's existence.
For those of you who have never heard him before, Igor Wakhevitch was a french composer/producer who has worked with many artists including Salvador Dali. The sound? Part Edgar Varese, part La Monte Young, part Crowley, part (insert favorite drugged-out psych artist here). Really weird stuff, all over the place and it's quite a fun adventure to listen to this album (and his other one's also for that matter, check out Docteur Faust which I also have up for auction). No wonder Steve Stapleton name-dropped him on his famous Nurse With Wound list. The French prog rock group Triangle appear on this album as well.
I believe the LP was worth every penny I paid for it a while back and I hate getting rid of it, but the times they are a changin' and I need the $$$. This is the third time I list this item and they say that third times' a charm. So here we go, this time, no holds barred, NO RESERVE. I wanna see a clean fight for this one (actually, that's not true, GO NUTS!!!).
The winner of this item pays actual shipping charges and the amount will be calculated depending on where you live. Registered shipping is available but is extra. Once the item is left at the post office, I cannot be responsible for what happens, so think about it. I pack my items carefully and only ship airmail. The LP will be sent outside the cover to avoid seam splits and wear.
