HISTORY...

In the Court of the Crimson King (subtitled An Observation by King Crimson) is the debut studio album by English rock band King Crimson, released on 10 October 1969 by Island Records. The album is one of the earliest and most influential of the progressive rock genre, where the band combined the musical influences that rock music was founded upon with elements of jazz, classical, and symphonic music.

IT REACHED NUMBER 5 IN THE UK CHARTS.


THE COVER WAS PAINTED BY BARRY GODBER WHO SADLY DIED JUST AFTER ITS RELEASE, ROBERT FRIPP NOW HAS THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK.THE COVER REPRESENTS SCHIZOID MAN , THE INNER GATEFOLD THE CRIMSON KING.



The iconic gatefold cover is really good for age - It has a RARE print error that I have never seen before, the ink has been slightly misaligned, creating an almost 3D effect!!!

Has no splits or tears. It is nice and vibrant with age wear to corners, edges, spine as to be expected.


The vinyl has retained a nice sheen in appearance and sits flat to the surface. Labels and spindle holes are good, but show sticker removal marks. Has quite a few visable but non feelable surface lines and one feelable one.



OVERALL A SOUGHT HAVE PIECE TO ADD TO YOUR MUSICAL COLLECTION.
