Description


This is the original Australian release of "The Marvel World of Icarus" by UK band, Icarus. A super hard LP to find - it was withdrawn from sale shortly after release as Pye Records didn't want to give Stan Lee of Marvel Comics 50% of the profits. 
Issued in 1972 in Australia on the Astor label. Catalogue # is SPLP 1387. This is a stereo recording.

Condition: The vinyl is VG+.  The cardboard gatefold cover is VG+. When opened up, the cardboard gatefold cover has some slight ring wear and slight age discolouration marks due to being 43 years old. The front & back covers retain their glossiness. The record comes with a plastic sleeve. Overall a very,very nice copy.
The gatefold middle features b&w art by Barry Smith.
This is indeed a rare item, especially amongst Marvel comic book collectors. Make sure that you don't miss out on this golden opportunity.
