Ike And Tina Turner - The Hunter ( 1970 Harvest UK original fully laminated cover. Gramophone Co. label text. No EMI box. SHSP 4001 stereo ). " Promotional Copy -Not For Sale " sticker on front cover. Tina Turner on a British progressive rock label ??. . Happened because she was signed to Blue Thumb records in the States at the time and EMI Harvest had the licensing rights to Blue Thumb material in 1970. Result being it is one of the scarcest of the early Harvest releases from it's golden era 1969-1974. This is a lovely example from a radio station. Not had a lot of play over the years. Cover has no rubbing, just some light spine creasing and light storage ringwear. Fully laminated with nice crisp opening edges. Vibrant colours. EX. Original Harvest bag advertising other releases in the roster ( which were nothing like Tina Turner!). EX. Iconic yellow/green labels show little sign of use. EX. Heavy gauge vinyl lies flat and true on the platter. Very clean indeed. Only some light traces of sleeve removal seen under spotlight. Beautiful audio reproduction. Fantastic gritty R&B from the days before she sold-out and went all MOR radio friendly. Disc EX. Gradings as per: Record Collector Grading System definitions. Dealer/collector since 1974.
