Description
This is the rare original Van Gelder-stamped “P”-stamped Plastylite test pressing of Ike Quebec’s unreleased 1962 “Easy Living” session on Blue Note BST 84103. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with just a single light inaudible scuff; the splotchy appearance is due to storage in the original paper inner sleeve; perhaps played once. Plain white utility cover, as issued. The label erroneously shows Grant Green as a participant; this is incorrect, as there is no guitarist on the session. The test pressing is dated “3-28-62”. The recording went unissued until 1981 when five tracks were issued on “Congo Lament”, but it wasn’t until l987 – 25 years after the session – that all six tracks were finally issued as “Easy Living”. A near-new copy of ”Easy Living” is included. Personnel include Stanley Turrentine, Bennie Green, Sonny Clark, Milt Hinton, and Art Blakey. WE NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL.
