Description
Offered for Sale is "Come Together" by Ike & Tina Turner (and the Ikettes).
The original Billboard magazine ad for the album release said, "That wailing woman IS NOT Little Red Riding Hood. It's Tina Turner, the woman. Pumping, screaming, moving for her man, Ike. Ike & Tina Turner the LIVE LOVERS. (sexist???)
It was released in 1970 with a GATEFOLD COVER and includes the cover versions of "Come Together“ from the Beatles, "I Want To Take You Higher" from Sly and the Family Stone, and "Honkey Tonk Woman" from the Rolling Stones
This is on the Liberty Record Label, with the # LSP 7637. The top of the shrink wrap is split, and around the left hand side. The record has NEVER been opened, but boy did it have cheap shrink wrap in 1970. Please look at all photos.
NOTE: I was a buyer for two different record chains in Hollywood, Ca. As such, I received a couple of boxes of records a week, to entice me to buy. More often than not, they were always open copies. (You couldn't sell them when they were open, for anything more than a dollar) This however is one of the sealed ones.
The album jacket may or may not have slight wearing, from being boxed and moving around. Please check photos.
