Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played. I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.
- This 1968 release is one of their early albums and it is one of their best, if not their best, album from that era.
- The track "A Fool In Love" is one of Ike & Tina's greatest songs, arrangements and recordings. Raw, pure and soulful. This is the original version of that song.
- The Ikettes are on backing vocals on all tracks.
- Pompeii was a relatively short-lived label that was distributed through Atlantic/ATCO Records.
- This copy is a First Pressing that has never been played.
- It is pressed on thick vinyl.
- The paper-on-board cover has tight seams and shows some storage edge wear. No splits.
- The generic inner sleeve is included. I have added a soft poly inner sleeve.
- This is a one-owner that the Seller got new in his record store in 1969.It has been in storage for 51 years. Yikes! That's a long time ago.
