Description
Here we have for sale a very very rare album by King Crimson. This is a crossover copy, the cover is an Island cover, ilps 9111, inside there is a sticker on inner of gatefold sleeve indicating that it has been marketed by Polydor. The vinyl itself is one of the very first released on the Polydor label in 1969 and is on the red Polydor label, housed in the island gatefold sleeve, this is the original sleeve, polydor used the remaining Island gatefold sleeves on the very first few releases.
The matrix number on this album is what really makes it unique, on side A the matrix is a//1 UT and on the B side the matrix is b//4 UT.
This album due to all it's anomalies makes it one of the rarest and most collectable copies of this rock masterpiece.
The gatefold sleeve is in good condition apart from the top corner, there is what appears to be cat scratches, however this has had no detrimental effect on the vinyl which is in excellent condition.
