Introducing The Beatles SR 1062 on Vee Jay - Stereo brackets logo on back and record

Up for auction is a legitimate stereo copy of Introducing The Beatles on Vee Jay. The front cover has catalog number SR 1062, the back cover has VJLP 1062, and the record label has catalog number VJLPS-1062.

Using this guide you can see this is the VJ 1062 (2).SC1 cover and the VJ 1062(2).SR2B(ii)a label.

The matrix is 63-3402-S on Side 1 and then 63-3403-S on Side 2. There is the circled "MR" marking on both sides as well as a triangle 6313 on Side 1 and then a triangle 6313X on Side 2.

I did play the record to make sure it is a true stereo copy and it is, and all other identifying marks point to this being a legitimate original. The record sounds great and I really want to give it a VG+ rating since it sounds closer to a VG+ record (plays through without any skips, little surface noise and the occasional pop)but there are scratches and scuffs as well as pen marks on the color band portion of the label on each side (see pictures) and I like to grade on the conservative side and thus have gone with a VG overall. A very enjoyable record to listen to with no major issues that affect the listening experience. Minimal groove wear/distortion for an album of this age and condition!

The cover is intact but has some visible wear and writing in the upper right by the "SR 1062" as seen in the pictures. It appears the markings by the track names on the back are in pencil, but I made a brief effort to remove a small section with an eraser with no luck and decided to stop there at the risk of causing more harm than good. There is also an address label near the "VJLP 1062" in the upper right that is peeling off but I have also left it for the same reasons as the pencil marks. There is a small section above the bracket logo on the back cover that is damaged but the entire slick is not at risk of coming off or peeling further without some real effort to do so. The spine is intact and mostly legible, but also shows a fair amount of wear with a small chunk of the "es" in Beatles missing. There is no splitting on the bottom or top, but there is wear. The "SR" in the catalog number is also quite worn on the spine.

I do not have the original inner sleeve but do have this placed in a fresh poly-lined inner sleeve.
