Description

Please read my description carefully before bidding.  I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.


This one is the 1st mono and deep-grooved pressing of Prestige Records PRLP-7114 "TENOR MADNESS" by Jackie McLean.  Duel with John Jenkins.  This one is an original issue from Prestige Records, not a reissue version by OJC or Classic Records.  Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1956, with "RVG" stamped on the dead wax of both sides. Deep groove on both sides.  This one is a must for Jackie McLean fan.


The tonearm jumped 3 times at the beginning of song no. 1 on side A. Due to a little warp on the rim of the disc. But the music after that still O.K. The rest of Side A played fine. Music is very nice with no noises.  Thus, I rated Side A only G-.


Side B played very fine NM. No jumped, skipped, or repeated on this side. Cartridge and tone arm can ride of the wave.


The cover is VG.  Some paper losses on the spine and almost half way split on the lower seam (please see picture).

The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.


My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.
