LP is in Near Mint condition.
The thick lustrous vinyl is nearly flawless, without marks scuffs, or scratches of any kind.   The fidelity is superb,with no distortion, pops, clicks,or background noise of any kind.


Jacket is in NM/EX+ condition. Original heavy and glossy jacket is in nice condition. There are virtually no scuffs, or blemishes of any kind.There is a very light shelf wear as in image this includes a small (review stamp)  and very small timing notations next to the track titles on back.This lp is stored in the original inner sleeve. Altoist Jackie McLean, at the time of this 1961 Blue Note gem, was in a similar position as Coleman Hawkins had been 15 years earlier. While Hawkins was a swing veteran who always modernized his style and fit in well with the young beboppers, McLean was a hard bop stylist who was able to keep up with the younger players and the avant-garde explorers. Always an advanced player with a sharp tone and an intense style, even when playing bop standards, McLean was open to new ideas. On Bluesnik, McLean explores six originals that have the feeling if not the exact structure of the blues. The unique music, which features the young trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, looks backwards to the blues and forward to Ornette Coleman's free jazz at the same time.
