Description

Up for sale is an authentic, guaranteed 1962 original first mono pressing of Jackie McLean's hard bop masterpiece, 'Bluesnik', on Blue Note Records (BLP 4067)

This vintage copy has been inspected thoroughly and is graded strictly and conservatively to Goldmine standards. If you value honest, accurate grading from a seller who doesn't over-hype their items, this is the ideal copy for your collection

This record features all the critical identifiers required by serious jazz collectors. The deadwax on both sides is deeply stamped with the authentic cursive Plastylite "P", widely known as the "Ear" mark, alongside the machine-stamped "RVG" initials for mastering engineer Rudy Van Gelder. Additionally, the paper center labels feature the historical "Blue Note Records Inc. 47 West 63rd NYC" address layout, confirming its status as a true, early 1962 manufacturing run.The vinyl itself is visually beautiful and is conservatively graded as a solid VG+

It maintains its vibrant, original high-gloss sheen with absolutely no scratches and no marks across the playing surfaces.

The paper center label on Side 1 shows a small amount of vintage aging and yellowing concentrated around the middle spindle hole, but the print remains perfectly sharp, clean, and legible

The jacket cover is also conservatively graded as VG+  The front cover looks fantastic and retains its original brilliant laminate shine. The back cover is in great shape with only very mild, uniform vintage yellowing from age. There is minor, standard shelf wear and light rubbing confined strictly to the corners, but the spine remains strong, rigid, and completely intact with no seam splits
