JACKIE McLEAN
 - McLEAN'S SCENE -

NEW JAZZ NJLP 8212
ORIGINAL / MONO D.G. / 12" LP

LP is in NM/EX+ condition.
The thick lustrous vinyl is nearly flawless, without  scuffs or scratches of any kind. There are some light but inaudible marks only!
The fidelity is superb, with virtually no distortion, pops, clicks or background noise of any kind.

Jacket is in EX+ condition. Original heavy  jacket is very nice. There are virtually no marks  or blemishes of any kind.  There is some wear on the bottom corners, as in image.   Jackie McLean was a distinctive altoist by the time he began to emerge in the early 1950s. While he looked to Charlie Parker for inspiration, his sharp tone and passionate solos always stood out. McLean Scene, has the young saxophonist in the spotlight in 1957 with two different trios featuring either Red Garland or Mal Waldron. While McLean sticks mostly to standards such as "Mean To Me" and an emotional "Old Folks," his intensity makes the music sound fresh and advanced.
