Description
You just won't find this great LP in this condition. It is one of the rarest psych albums of all time.
It's on the UK Stable label and is entitled 'Jaklin' by Jaklin who was a young British blues guitarist in 1969. It is a blues/psych album featuring some ferocious guitar playing by Jaklin. He also has a powerful voice. The backing band is as tight as the proverbial.
It's a stereo recording and the catalogue number is SLE 8003. It was released originally in 1969. It is an extremely rare record.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve which is laminated on the front and back is in fine condition. The front shows minor wear and creasing with very slight delamination (the laminate film is still intact and has not broken). The rear sleeve shows some similar wear. There is some ring wear on both front and back. The edges and spine are in fine condition with only minor wear at the corners and the occasional minor split along the spine. The wording along the spine is 100% readable. I've graded the sleeve Ex-.
INNER BAG - Plain white die cut paper type.
RECORD - The record is in superb condition. It looks quite clean and appears to have been played quite a few times. There are some superficial marks on either side which do not affect the quality. It plays very well on both sides with some minor surface noise, especially between tracks and some occasional pops and clicks on both sides. These blemishes do not detract from the overall quality of record. There are no jumps on any of the tracks on either side.
LABELS - The labels are black (textured feel) with silver wording. There are some minor spindle marks around both holes. The labels are in fine condition with no damage. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - SLE + 8003 + A - side two - SLE + 8003 + B. I've graded the record as Ex+ which I believe is very fair.
I try to grade everything very conservatively and I believe that the winner of this auction will not be disappointed. I guarantee everything I sell. It will be difficult to find this record again.
