Artist:  JAMES BROWN AND THE FAMOUS FLAMES

Title:   “THINK!”

Details:   KING RECORDS.  Monaural pressing on medium weight vinyl.  Catalog number is KING 683.   Labels are flat black with silver text. 

This is the rare original cover that was later withdrawn for unknown reasons, and is highly sought-after by today’s collectors.

Year:   1961

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl retains nearly 100% of original gloss.  Unfortunately, the original owner did not have a steady hand, and so there are several scratches on each side that make the album unattractive from a cosmetic standpoint and produces some very soft ticks in several places.  However, the fidelity is very clean and crisp, owing to the fact that it was played sparingly, and so to my ear the listening experience is very enjoyable.  No skips, pops, or other distractions.  Far from perfect, but better sounding than most.   

So that you can hear a sample of the sound quality, I have included a sound clip of “Think” in its entirety from this actual LP, with no sound modification used.  What you hear is what you will get.  And as always, your satisfaction is completely guaranteed when you do business with deepgroovesounds.

JACKET:   Jacket is overall very nice with no major issues.   Front artwork is clean and bright, except for a few small traces of surface wear beginning to show on the white background.  Seams are intact except for small splits (approximately 2 inches) at bottom right and approximately one inch at top right.  Corners display some shelf wear.  Reverse has a few faint traces of ring wear just beginning to appear, and the original price notation is written faintly in pencil at the top left corner.  No other writing or stickers.  Overall a very nice example of this scarce cover, suitable for framing!
