ORIGINAL PLASTIC POCKET ATTACHED INSIDE GATEFOLD COVER.
THICK AND HEAVY VINYL PRESSING.
This LP was given to me by my brother who bought it new, but didn't like it. I've had it for nearly 20 years and have only played it twice to establish its audio quality. Jan Dukes de Grey were a Leeds based band and playing at the same time as myself. I enclose a 'nostalgia' press clipping from the Yorkshire Post from earlier this year showing the band at a charity gig in Guiseley where I also had the pleasure of playing at.
So, whilst I am not a dealer/trader/collector I will try and describe the LP. The sleeve has a few creases front and rear to the laminate, the spine is perfect, and the laminate clean and shiny. There appears to be a 'grubby' line around the perimeter which is where the laminate doesn't quite cover the card. The interior plastic sleeve is still attached via glue which has aged (brown) as has the 'notorious' foam/sponge seal at the opening. This foam reacted with the vinyl and left a whitish mark. On this copy it is not very noticeable and less so on the other side. I'd say overall the sleeve is in excellent condition. The LP is now in a paper Goldring sleeve!
The record has I believe only been played a few, probably less than a dozen times, but hey... I can't guarantee that! Apart from the aforementioned 'foam marks' which are only visible at the run in, and don't appear to affect the audio quality, there appears only to be surface paper scratch/rubs. Certainly no obvious 'scratches'. There are minimal spindle marks. I've played it as I said a couple of times, and it sounded good to me. (Rega Planar)
