Description
Janis Joplin's childhood home at 4048 Procter St., in Port Arthur, Texas, was torn down in January of 1980. Two entrepeneurs purchased the BRICKS from the front of the house to make them available to collectors. The bricks eventually ended up at a small museum in Port Arthur. The bricks were cut into paperweight-sized slabs (2 1/4" x 2 1/4"), and stamped with a seal stating, "Authentic Relic of the Janis Joplin Home." I purchased several of them many years ago, when I lived in south Texas, and recently found one that had been stored away. The museum issued certificates of authenticity along with the item. I am offering here one of the brick "relics" and an original of the certificate of authenticity (see photos). This is a legitimate offering. Your satisfaction is assured.
