Description
Hi! You're looking at a SUPERB condition FIRST PRESSING and STEREO Vinyl Record on the RCA Victor Red Seal label with 1s / 3s stampers issued in 1967 on the bright red "Nipper" labels and a brilliant recording of Sonata No. 1 in D Major composed by CAMILLE SAINT-SAENS, the Nocturne, Opus 51, No. 3 composed by JEAN SIBELIUS, the Capriccio-Valse, Opus 7 composed by HENRYK WIENIAWSKI, Daisies, Opus 38, No. 3 and the Oriental Sketch composed by SERGEI RACHMANINOFF and Nana (Berceuse) and Jota composed by MANUEL da FALLA which are performed by violinist JASCHA HEIFETZ and pianist BROOKS SMITH. The LP is on the RCA Victor Red Seal label with the bright red "Nipper" label, bears the serial number LSC-2978, is a STEREO recording and is a 1st PRESSING with 1S / 3S stampers in the runout grooves made in the United States in 1967.
This LP is in SUPERB condition and the vinyl is in beautiful, NEAR MINT- condition and should play beautifully, with a few light paper scuffs on the surfaces that should not significantly affect play and NO other significant flaws; the cover is in beautiful NEAR MINT condition with a very slight ding on the lower right edge and a few very slight age spots on the back surface but NO other significant flaws--it's NOT a cutout! The ORIGINAL RCA VICTOR INNER SLEEVE is also included and is in beautiful shape.
Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)
Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.
Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.
Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.
Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.
Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.
Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.
Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).
A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this vinyl LP!
