Description
NOBLE SISSLE (1889 - 1975) had a fabulous career, from the Jim Europe Hellfighters band in 1918, to Vaudeville stardom with partner Eubie Blake, on his own as a bandleader in the later '20s into the '40s (he discovered Lena Horne and recorded her in 1936!), to partnering again with Eubie in the 1970s - I actually saw them together!
On this 1920 record, Sissle sings of the new music, Jazz, in two lively iterations: "JAZZ BABIES' BALL" and "MELODIOUS JAZZ." He is WAY peppy, and quite the cutup!
This original 1920 vertical Pathé 22537 is in splendid EE+ condition. Be sure to play it in VERTICAL mode!

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care.
