JAZZ  - early Louis Armstrong Hot Five with "Got no blues" and "I'm not rough" Great NOJ "gut bucket" performances recorded on 9 and 10 December 1927 in Chicago. Visually the record has a lot of wear, with heavy needle wear and greying,particularly on "I'm not rough". Little shine is evident. Aurally plays much better at around VG/ VG+, music is loud and clear well over background noise but with some fairly mild distortion in a few places.Slightly rough starts , soon clears up before music. Some ticking and swish "Got no blues". Mainly ticking and pops on "I'm not rough" . Overall fidelity is good, great guitar and singing on this side. This record looks like a "beater" but plays much better, probably due to deep grooves. A rare record and expensive in top condition, however is still very collectable even in this rather worn shape.
