JEFF BUCKLEY Live at Sin-é
1993 12" mini-LP Columbia 44 77296. Rare first-pressing promotional vinyl copy of this live sampler mini-LP. Played once. While the record has standard labels, promotional copies were distributed with cut corners and included an information sheet describing Jeff Buckley's incredible live performances at tiny Lower East Side bar Sin-é. I am the original owner, and have kept the record in a poly sleeve since I bought it in 1993, after seeing Buckley at Fez. That show was unforgettable. I think I only played this record once because it couldn't compare to the unbelievable experience of seeing him live. I wanted to hear him again as he had ended the show, alone at the piano, singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. Listening now, of course, this is a tremendous document that we are very lucky to have. The expanded version available on CD is highly recommended.
This vinyl version is an interesting package, with beautiful cover photos and a fascinating two-sided promo info sheet. The vinyl is in strong near mint condition, having been played only once, with terrific gloss. The labels are also near mint, they look brand new. The plain white inner sleeve is in excellent condition, with a few light wrinkles. The cover is in VG+ condition, generally very clean and sharp, but with a large cut corner to void the bar code, substantial crumpling in the lower right corner, and a slightly bent upper right corner (see detail photos). The info sheet is excellent unhandled condition, clear and bright, but slightly wrinkled, and with one partly bent corner (see photos).

On Feb-24-12 at 10:22:37 PST, seller added the following information: Note: there are also a couple creases in the lower left hand corner that are not visible in the first photo because of the light bleeding in from the left. I was going to replace that photo but because of bidding I now can't. Columbia obviously didn't care to much about the physical state of these promo copies and banged the covers up a bit along the way. I've seen other copies up for sale with almost identical creases and dings. Other than these creases and crumples, the cover is basically brand-new, with no ringwear or shelfwear of any kind, and the vinyl is very close to perfection. A really nice copy.price rating
