On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Jethro Tull called 'Benefit' and is an ORIGINAL 1970 Island UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Pink Rim' Island label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF JETHRO TULL'S RAREST & MOST SOUGHT AFTER LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE RAREST PRESSING EVER MADE - ON THE ULTRA RARE 'PINK RIM' ISLAND 'PALM TREE' LABEL!!!! AND THIS IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!! BACK IN 1970 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - 99% OF ALL 'STANDARD' UK 1ST PRESSINGS WERE PRESSED ON THE VERY COMMON 'STANDARD' GREEN CRYSALIS LABEL. HOWEVER AROUND THE SAME TIME (ALSO IN 1970!) A VERY VERY FEW COPIES WERE ACCIDENTALLY PRESSED ON THE ULTRA RARE 'PINK RIM' ISLAND LABEL INSTEAD (WHICH WAS CLEARLY AN ERROR) BY MISTAKE!!!! AND THIS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT MAKES THIS THE RAREST PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER MADE!!!! ONLY AN ABSOLUTELY TINY FRACTION OF 1970 PRESSINGS WERE EVER MADE ON THIS LABEL - AND THIS LP IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS AN ISLAND 1ST PRESSING LIKE THIS ONE IS!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT CONDITION AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK ISLAND 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'PINK RIM' ISLAND 'PALM TREE' LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'MacNEILL' COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Island UK 1st Pressing from 1970 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is ILPS 9123 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Island label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, only 2 or 3 absolutely TINY surface marks, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!! It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO nasty loud pops, only a very VERY few light clicks/pops on 1 track ONLY (these do NOT last long AT ALL!), NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! BRILLIANT RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The 1st Press 'MacNeill' Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO ringwear, NO sticker tears, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, only some VERY slight rubbing, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
