Description
JETHRO TULL - " STAND UP ", Island Records (ILPS-9103) Stereo, 1969.
Very rare, 1969, English 1st issue/pressing Island LP with the original pink labels with the orange "eye" emblem, pop-up gatefold sleeve and matrix numbers.
MATRIX & STAMPER NUMBERS: ILPS + 9103 + A / ILPS + 9103 + B
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction).

CONDITION:
VINYL = EX- (No monster scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, average spindle trails (both labels have the name 'Lyn' written on them in blue ink though), etc. In normal daylight the vinyl and particularly under a grading lamp, this LP suffers quite few light surface marks - nothing deep, but present nonetheless. However, on playback it's a completely different story - apart from a bit of surface noise during the silent run-in and occasionally during silences between tracks, this LP plays surprisingly clear and strong without interuptions form clicks, clunks and crackles, etc.
Visually this LP is probably in V.G.+ territory, but it plays more like an EX... hence the compromise of an EX- grading.
Overall, a good chance for somebody who just wants to play the record to get it at a more reasonable price.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = V.G.? (A difficult one to grade - this sleeve is flat, without creases and the pop-up part is undamaged and functioning. That said it's worn around the edges, has a sticker tear on the front which has been crudely filled in with some black biro scribble and the rear cover is grubby with a few stains - see photos for further clarification)

Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records.
