BATUCADA / (I WANT TO GO HOME ) BUT I CAN'T GET BACK ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by JHO ARCHER. Original French pressing on the ARTHEY'S label (AM 7777), from circa 1969. French-only samba funk masterpiece sung in (broken) English by the cult singer. Outstanding Brazilian groove on BATUCADA with funky drums and agogo bells / afro percussion / groovy bassline / cuica / strings / jazz horns and soaring scat harmony. Fabulously funky throughout with breaks and beats, especially over the delirious closing bars. Great for DJs. Big record with certain Japanese collectors. Superb production sound. Cool picture sleeve showing the artist too. Summer is most definitely here... Rare 45!!!
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is in shiny, VG++ condition with some light scuffs and hairlines. The laminated picture sleeve is closer to M- condition overall with minimal wear from storage. A few laminte crease lines only. Rare 45!!!
