Description

JIGSAW “Seven Fishes” RARE Aussie FONTANA 7” British psych mod dancer

Jigsaw - Lollipop and Goody Man 7” (orig. Australia Fontana MONO 6007 017)

Australian Release date: 1970 (UK Release date: July 1970).

On offer here is an EXTREMELY RARE original Australian issue of “Lollipop and Goody Man” 7” single by British band JIGSAW.  This 45 is most notable for its impressive psychedelic flipside, “Seven Fishes”, which opens with spacey electronic effects before giving way to blistering wah-wah guitar and culminating in a high decibel crescendo.  JIGSAW released numerous singles and five albums during their lifespan (1968 - 1976).  Their biggest commercial success was “Sky High” reaching as high as No. 3 on the Australian Charts in September 1975.  It’s hard to believe both 45’s were recorded by the same band!
