American post-classical composer Jim O'Rourke has been a key component in the increasing overlap of the American and European experimental music avant-garde, working in everything from jazz and rock to ambient and electro-acoustic, and building many a bridge in between

With Bad Timing, O'Rourke attempts a return to the organic atmosphere of acoustic guitar from his explorations in electronica.
The album consists of four songs clocking in at roughly ten minutes each, and is characterised by O'Rourke's ambient acoustic exploration.
Three of the tracks enlist various instruments from cello to trumpet and even drums.
The songs are highly textured and require patience, as they slowly evolve from abstract riffs into clear melodies.
The album encompasses a rich dynamic range despite the seeming limitations that acoustic guitar could impose.
There is a fair amount of splicing and mixing, which attests to the fact that O'Rourke has not completely dispensed with his passion for electronic music, but these interludes often provide a unique perspective.
The highlight of the album is the final track, "Happy Trails," which begins with distorted acoustic noise, followed by an upbeat country rhythm provided by Tortoise's John McEntire.

Clean, bright and factory-fresh labels with no spindles or signs of use

But MINT really as any of the pressing blemishes which are present are from manufacture and not later wear - these have no audio impact

Beautiful crystal clear, clean and sharp sound throughout.
My play-check at loud volume revealed no major audio issues of note - just a few light clicks (there since new) - not unexpected, and apparently always present on contemporary US vinyl
SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
But MINT apart from a knock in the bottom opening corner (please see close-up photos).
The sleeve still retains it's original shrink-wrapping which holds the title sticker on the front

Clean and unmarked with just a tiny light crease to the top corner - hardly anything
