JIMI HENDRIX BAND OF GYPSYS
Matrix : A1 / B1        Label : Track        Issue: 1st Press Vinyl and Repress Sleeve
This is the earliest UK press of ‘Band Of Gypsys' by Jimi Hendrix. This press has the earliest matrix, the earliest flat edge heavy vinyl and flat matt Track labels. The vinyl is complete with the original rare puppet sleeve. Released in 1970, this was Hendrix first album without his original band, replaced by Buddy Miles and Billy Cox.  
The vinyl is in Near Mint condition. Every track looks absolutely superb. The vinyl has the original jet black gloss and the grooves show no whitening or sign of age at all. The flat matt Track labels are bold and completely clean. The label has a little wear around the spindle on one side. The silver text is sharp. The vinyl is complete with the original inner sleeve.
The vinyl sits completely flat on the turntable and when played the sound is rich, vibrant and very clear. There are moments of the slightest background noise, but this is insignificant as it is extremely bold and sharp throughout.
The matt gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition. This sleeve is sensational, without doubt the finest we have seen. The colours are still rich and bright, the image is sharp and the text is clear. The whole sleeve is very flat and the edges are incredibly firm. The only tiny detail is the very slightest ring and corner wear. This is however very slight and does little to spoil this sensational sleeve. The whole sleeve is solid and the earliest pinched spine is firm with clear text.
