This is an original UK 1968 FIRST AND ONLY pressing of ELECTRIC JIMI HENDRIX by THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE. This rare record was available ONLY by mail order from POLYDOR records who owned TRACK records. It is unknown why this record was withdrawn but it was quickly done and the pressing was in tiny numbers. Making this an instant HENDRIX collectible EXTREMELY rare and so very highly prized by Hendrix fans and the most serious record collectors.
The none laminated none gate fold sleeve has ring ware to the back and front and someone has written a name in the top right hand corner and scribbled it out badly. Still anyone with a bit of artistic flare may well be able to improve on this repair job with some ink that matches the brown affected area of the sleeve ! The spine has also been inked by a previous owner but no tares anywhere on the sleeve. Considering that a mint copy of this LP will set you back four figures I think this sleeve has a decent value. But due to the damage I am not going to grade the sleeve just look closely and make up your own mind as to its value.
The record is way WAY BETTER. In fact I would go as far as to say you would be hard pressed to find a better copy. Both of the beautiful black TRACK labels with that stunning silver typeset are in magnificent condition. Just a few very light spindle marks visible on close inspection. And both sides one and side two are equally pristine . This record is really hard to find fault with. This highest new look luster sheen to both sides and only under a bright spotlight you can make out the lightest of hairlines and only a handful at most to both sides of this lovely rare vinyl record. The record plays through its entirety with not a hint of a problem. The record grades a strong EXCELLENT.
