OK - Let's not make any mistakes here. This is the incredibly rare "puppet" sleeve that was very quickly withdrawn. I have no idea exactly how many copies of the cover there are in circulation. The LP itself is a plain white label and only has some very faint pencil writing on one side. I have tried to make this as clear as possible in the scans provided.
THE CONDITION OF THIS ITEM IS FAR FROM MINT and is only in FAIR condition. It is covered in small light surface marks, and although it plays with no skips or jumps, it is a bit noisy in places. I wouldn't normally entertain putting an item in this condition up for sale, but I beleive this item to be incredibly rare and to be honest, the chances of ever seeing another one are remote at best. The cover isn't too bad. There are no major rips or tears anywhere and there is no writing anywhere. So for the sleeve alone it's still a worthwhile investment.
RARE UK WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING
These items are very rare and don't come up for sale that often. They usually exist in quantities of between 5 to 25 copies only. They are manufactured solely as test pressings and are distributed between band members,producers and management for final approval, before the item is committed to a full print run. Some copies are distributed to vital PR agencies and radio stations before official demos have been pressed.
These items are from my own personal collection that I am reluctantly splitting after 35 years of collecting.
