Description
For sale - from my personal collection - the following LP of jazz music by trombone player JIMMY KNEPPER, titled:
"A SWINGING INTRODUCTION TO JIMMY KNEPPER"
original 1957 pressing on Bethlehem Records BCP-77, MONO, made in USA (New York). "Micro Cosmic Sound" series. Original papirus inner sleeve.
CONDITION:
- front cover is between Exc. to NM (having a few light marks and overall shelf wear over the laminated folio)
- back cover is close to NM - possibly NM
- vinyl is close to NM both sides (having on each side some scattered scuffs and very light imprints from the inner sleeve; without such time marks, the vinyl would have been NM or MINT) (visual grading)
SPECIAL REMARKS:
- sticker affixed on front cover (near the upper left corner)
- handwritten price entered near the upper right corner back (in pencil)
Featuring Jimmy Knepper (trombone, leader) with a septet jazz combo. Among accompanying musicians the two legendary jazz greats Gene Quill (sax) and Paul Evans (piano).
9 tracks, studio recordings. A masterpiece jazz album and a rare collectible LP. Highly recommended!
