Description

Original red label with silver text, deep groove, mono.  Jimmy Knepper, trombone on all 9 tracks.  6 tracks also include Gene Quill, alto sax; Bill Evans, piano; Teddy Kotick, bass; Dannie Richmond, drums.  3 tracks also include Gene Roland, trumpet, vocal on 1 track; Bob Hammer, piano; Kotick, bass; Richmond, drums.  Recorded in NYC in 1957.  3 original compositions by Knepper.

Cover:  Good(+)     2" split on the top edge at the insert edge. 3" split on the spine.  A few small scuff-like marks near the bottom of the front cover.  Light to moderate aging on the back cover with some small, light stain marks.

Record:   VG++ or Better    Visually shows no wear.  Possibly played only a very few times with care.  No markings on the vinyl surface.  The surface has a new appearance.  On Side A there is 1 click on Track 2, slight groove noise on the 1st 2 or 3 revolutions of Track 5.  This is barely audible.  On Side B  there are 3 clicks at the beginning of Track 2 and 4 faint, random clicks on the balance of the track.  On Track 3 there is faint groove noise on 2 or 3 revolutions with 1 or 2 very light clicks.  There are several extremely light clicks at the end of Track 4. I have carefully detailed the condition.  In general the condition is excellent  with a minimum of noise.  Audibly checked.
