Description
JOE PUMA Wild Kitten LP, Dawn DLP 1118. Also featuring Mat Mathews on accordion, Oscar Pettiford and Whitey Mitchell on basses, and Shadow Wilson on drums.
Side1: Rose Room, Polka Dots and Moonbeams, Rigamarole, Sportin' With Morton. Side 2: Wild Kitten, Soon, But Not For Me, Rosalie Ann.
Grade:VG+. Cover very clean and shiny, no ringwear, 4 minor flaws: bottom front right corner just barely bent 1/4 inch (very minor), back cover upper left corner has small rubbed away spot from sticker or ?, spine is very good except for a 1/4" light rubbed away spot toward bottom (minor) and there is a sticker toward top of spine on which PUMA, JOE is typed (which is kind of helpful and nice, as the spine has no original info on it otherwise). Record is clean and shiny, looks perhaps unplayed but has those darned tiny manufacturing bubbles here and there. I set the needle down at the beginning of Rose Room, which has 7 of these little buggers, and I could not audibly detect any disturbance.
This Lp was purchased from a guitar jazz collector who had really nice pieces and took immaculate care of his collection. I will be listing several others.
GRADING SCALE:
(M) Sealed Mint ~ Sealed in original wrapping, never played.
(M-) Mint ~ Perfect or excellent condition, no visible wear that will affect sound quality. Very light wear, should play and sound like new.
(VG++) ~ Very good condition. Slight ring wear or other minor cover flaw, record may have light visual imperfection/s that could produce slight audible disturbance.
(VG+) ~ Visible cover or vinyl wear more pronounced, but overall very good used condition. Record should play with no skips.
(VG-) ~ Cover in poor condition, sound quality not great, but record is listenable. May have skips.
Will try to do our best to describe flaws particular to each album we have listed. Sometimes a cover is in excellent condition but the vinyl is poor, or vice-versa, making grading tricky. Questions always welcome.
