It’s May of 1972 and sultry Joey Heatherton has out another new single. She’d been making records since 1964 and trying and trying to have a hit. Although she was making a lot of appearances on television, it just didn’t translate into chart records. This single, from MGM, didn’t hit at the time, but in the decades since has become one of her sought after blue-eyed soul tracks.
Songs here are “Gone” which is a soulful remake of the country oldie from back in 1956. On the flip you’ll hear “The Road I Took To You.”
