THE JOHN COLTRANE QUARTETTE "COLTRANE" LP - On Impulse Records, #AS-21. This is the rare 1962 stereo heavy vinyl pressing in outstanding condition!! VAN GELDER stamp in the trail-off on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick laminated gatefold cover. The personnel: John Coltrane/soprano & tenor saxophones; McCoy Tyner/piano; Jimmy Garrison/bass; Elvin Jones/drums. The vinyl is in phenomenal M- condition (beautiful gloss & luster)...stunning!! Both labels are pristine. The laminated gatefold jacket is in superb shape: bright & clean with tight seams, displays wonderfully. NO cut-out marks, NO seam splits, NO bends or creases, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. A superb copy of this collectible original issue.
