Description

This one is a mono first pressing of John Coltrane's COLTRANE on Impulse Records A-21. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder with "VAN GELDER" stamped on the dead wax of both sides.
A Quartet performed by John Coltrane (tenor saxophone), McCoy Tyner (piano), Jimmy Garrison (bass), Elvin Jones (drum).
The record plays NM on both sides. Grooves do not show any wear or damage. But visually, under a bright light, a record is rated VG++ due to small non-feelable scuff.
The gatefold laminated cover is VG+. Strong but small wares here and there. Neatly cleared tape at a bottom seam (around 4 inches). Small crack at a spin (see picture no.3). The spine is readable.
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.
My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.
